Gold Coast exhibition details
Since 1992 the Gold Coast has been like a second home to Robert Brownhall, a Brisbane-based artist who has almost weekly driven down to surf our local breaks.
But the waves are not the only attraction and, after his surf, Brownhall settles in quietly to observe and draw. The resulting works are a personal record of the history, quirkiness and development of the Coast. His pictures capture mood and moments – crowded beaches and cracking waves, modern and retro architecture, and everyday life on the Coast.
